अतीवगर्वितो जातः सती मे प्राप्य कन्यकाम् । कस्यचिन्नाप्यसौ प्रायो न कोस्यापि क्वचित्पुनः
atīvagarvito jātaḥ satī me prāpya kanyakām | kasyacinnāpyasau prāyo na kosyāpi kvacitpunaḥ
Depuis qu’il a obtenu ma fille Satī pour épouse, il est devenu d’un orgueil excessif. Il ne témoigne presque de déférence à personne—à aucun moment, envers qui que ce soit.
