Type: kund
Listener: Pilgrimage-inquirer audience (ṛṣis/saints in frame narrative)
Scene: A pilgrim at dawn in southern Kāśī bathes in a small tīrtha-kunda, then approaches a modest shrine of Pippaleśvara; a pippala tree shades the path; Saturday austerity is suggested by simple attire and oil-lamp offerings.
Time (vāra) and place (tīrtha) together intensify dharmic results when paired with devotion and darśana.
