भर्तुर्व्ययेपि वैधव्यं क्षणमात्रमपीह न । मम भावि महादेव पातिव्रत्यं च यातु मा
bharturvyayepi vaidhavyaṃ kṣaṇamātramapīha na | mama bhāvi mahādeva pātivratyaṃ ca yātu mā
Quand bien même mon époux viendrait à périr, que le veuvage ne m’atteigne ici ne fût-ce qu’un instant ; et, ô Mahādeva, que ma sainte fidélité d’épouse (pātivratya) ne s’éloigne jamais de moi à l’avenir.
