japasiddhistapaḥsiddhiryogasiddhiḥ parāmṛtā | maitrīkṛnmitranetrā ca rakṣoghnī daityatāpanī
«Japasiddhi, Tapaḥsiddhi, Yogasiddhi, Parāmṛtā ; Maitrīkṛt, Mitranetrā, Rakṣoghnī et Daityatāpanī.»
Skanda
Tirtha: Kāśī
Type: kshetra
Scene: Devī stands as the giver of three siddhis—japa, tapas, yoga—pouring a stream of luminous nectar (parāmṛta). Around her, shadowy rākṣasa/daitya forms dissolve; her eyes are friendly (mitranetrā) even as her aura burns negativity.
Śakti is the inner power that ripens japa, austerity, and yoga into siddhi, while also protecting the devotee by destroying hostile forces.
The Kāśī-khaṇḍa setting frames the teaching; this verse itself highlights spiritual disciplines rather than a particular Kāśī tirtha.
Not a direct injunction, but it elevates japa, tapas, and yoga as disciplines through which divine perfection (siddhi) is attained.
