Skanda
Tirtha: Kāśī-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Agastya
Scene: A yogin demonstrates Padmāsana: right foot on left thigh, left foot on right thigh; posture symmetrical, spine erect, gaze soft; Kāśī’s ghāṭas/temples faintly behind.
Correct posture is a foundation for yoga—discipline of the body supports concentration and dharmic practice.
Kāśī is the setting of the Kāśīkhaṇḍa; the verse itself gives yogic method rather than naming a particular tīrtha.
The prescribed practice is Padmāsana: right foot on left thigh, left foot on right thigh.
