बिल्वपालाशयोर्दंडो ब्राह्मणस्य नृपस्य तु । न्यग्रोधबालदलयोः पीलूदुंबरयोर्विशः

bilvapālāśayordaṃḍo brāhmaṇasya nṛpasya tu | nyagrodhabāladalayoḥ pīlūduṃbarayorviśaḥ

Le bâton (daṇḍa) du brāhmaṇa doit être de bilva ou de palāśa ; celui du roi, le kṣatriya, de nyagrodha ou de bāladala ; et celui du vaiśya, de pīlū ou d’udumbara.
