Skanda (deduced: Kāśīkhaṇḍa commonly as Skanda teaching Agastya)
Tirtha: Kāśī Gaṅgā-ghāṭas (general)
Type: ghat
Scene: A devotee stands at the ghāṭa with wet head and loosened hair, but dusty feet; an elder points to the unwashed feet, indicating impurity despite ācamana.
Purity requires completeness and attention to prescribed steps; partial actions do not replace the whole discipline.
The verse is procedural and does not name a tīrtha; it sits within Kāśī Khaṇḍa’s dharma instruction.
Washing the feet is mandatory for cleanliness; immersion or ācamana alone does not suffice if feet remain unwashed.
