कर्णोपवीत्युदग्वक्त्रो दिवसे संध्ययोरपि । विण्मूत्रे विसृजेन्मौनी निशायां दक्षिणामुखः
karṇopavītyudagvaktro divase saṃdhyayorapi | viṇmūtre visṛjenmaunī niśāyāṃ dakṣiṇāmukhaḥ
Le jour—et même aux deux jonctions du crépuscule—qu’on porte le cordon sacré « sur l’oreille » et qu’on fasse face au nord; en observant le silence, qu’on évacue selles et urine. La nuit, qu’on fasse face au sud.
