Type: kshetra
Listener: Naimiṣāraṇya sages
Scene: Tripartite Kāśī grace: Bhavānī enthroned bestowing boons, Ḍhuṃḍhi Gaṇeśa granting desires, and Viśveśvara leaning to whisper the saving mantra into a dying devotee’s ear, with the Ganga and cremation-ghāṭa atmosphere subtly present.
Kāśī is portrayed as uniquely complete: it grants worldly aims through the Goddess and Gaṇeśa, and final liberation through Śiva’s death-time mantra.
Kāśī (Vārāṇasī), especially the sphere of Viśveśvara, where the ear-whispered mantra at death is celebrated.
The teaching of the mantra into the ear (śrotra-mantra-upadeśa) at the time of death—associated with Viśveśvara’s grace in Kāśī.
