Skanda
Tirtha: Gaṅgā in Śiva-kṣetra (Kāśī)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Gaṅgā Devī near Śiva-liṅga of Viśveśvara; Śiva with third eye (bhāla-locana) gazing; Gaṅgā shown as bestowing prosperity yet cutting bonds of becoming; a subtle time-wheel motif for past-present-future sovereignty.
Divine love aligns with Śiva, while spiritual maturity rejects bondage to becoming; the Goddess governs time and grants auspicious welfare.
In Kāśīkhaṇḍa, Śiva-Śakti praise implicitly magnifies Kāśī as Śiva’s city where liberation from bhava is emphasized.
No explicit ritual; the verse supports Śiva-Śakti upāsanā through praise and remembrance.
