Transliteration

tapodhana uvāca | vṛddhakālakṣitipate jāne tvāṃ sumahāmate | imāmapi ca jāne'haṃ tava patnīṃ pativratām

Translation

Tapodhana dit : «Ô roi, toi qui portes depuis longtemps le fardeau de la vieillesse, ô très sage, je te connais. Et je connais aussi cette épouse tienne, pativratā, inébranlable dans la fidélité.»
