Le trône élevé—se dressant au-dessus des genoux du roi—paraissait plus imposant encore par sa majesté; et Suruci prenait plaisir à l’exalter comme un siège à gravir.
Skanda (deduced narration)
Scene: A high throne rising above the king’s knees dominates the court; Suruci delights in its grandeur and the idea of ascending/exalting it.
External elevation (a throne, status) can inflate pride; Purāṇic teaching contrasts such height with the higher ‘seat’ attained by devotion.
No site is directly referenced; the placement in Kāśīkhaṇḍa ties the narrative to Kāśī’s wider dharma-teaching purpose.
