Skanda (deduced for Kāśīkhaṇḍa phalaśruti)
Tirtha: Kāśī (Avimukta)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Sage audience within the frame (traditional Purāṇic śravaṇa setting)
Scene: A serene Kāśī scene: a virtuous resident listens to a recitation of the holy chapter near a ghat or temple courtyard; above, symbolic planetary deities fade into harmless light, signifying the cessation of graha-affliction and calamity-fear.
Śravaṇa (devout listening) to sacred māhātmya and living a righteous life in Kāśī are described as protective forces against suffering.
Kāśī (Vārāṇasī) is explicitly praised as a place where the devotee is freed from fear and adversity.
Hearing/recitation of the chapter (śravaṇa of the adhyāya) is the implied practice; no separate dāna or vrata is specified here.
