Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 45

विना यथा वैभवशक्तिमेकां भवंति हीनाः स्वफलैः क्रियौघाः । तथा विना तं द्विजवर्यमेकं दैत्या जयाशा विमुखा बभूवुः

vinā yathā vaibhavaśaktimekāṃ bhavaṃti hīnāḥ svaphalaiḥ kriyaughāḥ | tathā vinā taṃ dvijavaryamekaṃ daityā jayāśā vimukhā babhūvuḥ

De même qu’une multitude d’actes, privée d’une unique puissance qui les fait porter fruit, demeure sans leur juste récompense, de même, sans l’unique brāhmane éminent, Śukra, les Daityas se détournèrent de l’espérance de victoire.
