Austerity dedicated to the divine can transform one’s very existence into a blessing that uplifts the whole world.
Kāśī’s sanctity is the implied ground where such tapas gains divine recognition and world-benefiting fruit.
Tapas (austerity) is affirmed as a dharmic means to receive divine affirmation and confer welfare upon the world.
