इत्थं विलप्य बहुशो नयनांबुधारासंपातजात तटिनी शतमुत्तरंगम् । सा तोकशोकजनितानल तापतप्ता प्रोच्छ्वस्यदीर्घविपुलोष्णमहो शुशोष
itthaṃ vilapya bahuśo nayanāṃbudhārāsaṃpātajāta taṭinī śatamuttaraṃgam | sā tokaśokajanitānala tāpataptā procchvasyadīrghavipuloṣṇamaho śuśoṣa
Ainsi se lamentant sans cesse, elle versa des flots de larmes, comme des centaines de rivières aux vagues enflées. Brûlée par la chaleur du feu né du chagrin pour son enfant, elle poussa de longs soupirs, vastes et brûlants—et, hélas, se dessécha peu à peu.
