Narrator (within Skanda’s discourse; exact voice not explicit in verse)
Tirtha: Kāśī (narrative milieu)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A young boy (possibly divine) gives a final assurance to a brāhmaṇa; as the brāhmaṇa watches, the boy dissolves into light and vanishes; the brāhmaṇa then turns homeward, relieved and hopeful.
Faithful long-term practice (abda-japa) is portrayed as efficacious, with results granted by divine arrangement.
The episode belongs to Kāśīkhaṇḍa’s sacred setting, where Śiva-oriented stotra practice is especially fruitful.
Japa/recitation of the stotra for one year, with the stated fruit of putradāna (offspring blessing).
