मज्जद्ब्रह्मांडखंडे च पतितं नाप्तपारकम् । क्रोशंतमवशं दीनं विषयव्या लकातरम्

majjadbrahmāṃḍakhaṃḍe ca patitaṃ nāptapārakam | krośaṃtamavaśaṃ dīnaṃ viṣayavyā lakātaram

Je me noie dans un fragment de ce vaste univers ; je suis tombé sans trouver de moyen de traverser. Impuissant et misérable, je crie, terrifié par les serpents des objets des sens.
