Skanda (deduced from Setukhaṇḍa māhātmya narration context)
Tirtha: Rāmeśvara / Rāmanātha-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: A stream of pilgrims—men, women, ascetics, and even animals—turn their gaze toward the Rāmeśvara shrine; a luminous path symbolizes the ‘supreme gati’ granted by darśana and kṣetra-vāsa.
Simply beholding Rāmeśvara and residing in Rāmanātha’s Śiva-kṣetra elevates beings toward the highest spiritual goal.
Rāmeśvaram—especially the Rāmanātha Śiva-kṣetra surrounding the Rāmeśvara shrine.
Darśana (beholding the deity) and vāsa (residing in the kṣetra) are praised as potent practices.
