Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 7

ब्रह्मचर्येण यज्ञेन तथा पुत्रोद्भवेन च । नैव तुष्यन्ति ऋषयो देवाः पितृगणास्तथा

brahmacaryeṇa yajñena tathā putrodbhavena ca | naiva tuṣyanti ṛṣayo devāḥ pitṛgaṇāstathā

Même par le brahmacarya, par le sacrifice et par la naissance d’un fils, les Ṛṣis, les Divinités et, de même, les assemblées de Pitṛs ne sont pas ainsi satisfaits.
