Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 37

महापात कनाशः स्यात्प्रायश्चित्तं विना द्विजाः । तत्राभिषेकं कुर्वाणः पितृदेवांश्च तर्पयेत्

mahāpāta kanāśaḥ syātprāyaścittaṃ vinā dvijāḥ | tatrābhiṣekaṃ kurvāṇaḥ pitṛdevāṃśca tarpayet

Ô brāhmanes, la destruction des grands péchés advient même sans pénitences distinctes. Là, en accomplissant l’ablution (abhiṣeka), on doit aussi contenter les ancêtres et les dieux par des offrandes d’eau.
