Narrator (contextual Purāṇic narrator within Setukhaṇḍa; exact speaker not explicit in this snippet)
Tirtha: Setukṣetra / Setubandha
Type: kshetra
Listener: brāhmaṇas (dvijāḥ) addressed in narration
Scene: Mudgala performs a Viṣṇu-yajña: sandal paste and flowers are offered, ārghya is presented, and a puroḍāśa-like havis is reverently placed before Viṣṇu.
Devotion becomes complete when reverence (arghya) and sincere offering (havis) are given with joy and purity of intent to the Lord.
This occurs in the Setukhaṇḍa (Setu Māhātmya), associated with Setu/Rāmeśvaram sacred geography, though this verse focuses on the yajña act itself.
Offering arghya, and presenting havis such as puroḍāśa (sacrificial cake) to Viṣṇu as part of a yajña.
