Skanda (deduced from Setukhaṇḍa narrative style within Skanda Purāṇa)
Tirtha: Setukṣetra (Setu/Rāmeśvara)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Śiva, the Lord of Bhavānī, is pleased; the devotee is shown ascending to snow-bright Kailāsa, rejoicing in Śiva’s presence—peaks, gaṇas, and serene radiance.
Pitṛ-dharma performed rightly also pleases Śiva, linking ancestral duty with liberation-oriented Śaiva grace.
Setu-kṣetra is the contextual pilgrimage setting; the verse additionally points to Kailāsa as the attained divine realm.
The verse states the reward: by the Mahālaya rite under discussion, Śiva is pleased and grants Kailāsa.
