चापमानय सौमित्रे शरांश्चाशीविषोपमान् । सागरं शोषयिष्यामि पद्भ्यां यांतु प्लवंगमाः
cāpamānaya saumitre śarāṃścāśīviṣopamān | sāgaraṃ śoṣayiṣyāmi padbhyāṃ yāṃtu plavaṃgamāḥ
«Apporte mon arc, ô Saumitrī, et des flèches pareilles à des serpents venimeux. Je dessécherai l’océan : que les vānaras avancent à pied.»
