Type: tirtha
Scene: Agastya (Kumbhayoni) stands with kamaṇḍalu and staff, performing tapas; from his act a clear spring/pond manifests. In the distance, Meru and Vindhya appear as personified mountains in dispute, while devas watch anxiously.
Tīrthas are presented as sanctified through the direct agency of great ṛṣis, linking geography to dharma and cosmic order.
Agasti Tīrtha, said to be directly established by Agastya (Kumbhayoni).
No explicit rite here; the verse provides tīrtha-prādurbhāva (origin) to ground later pilgrimage merit.
