Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 33

यक्षाः पिशाचाः साध्याश्च पितरो गुह्यकास्तथा । ततः प्रसूता विद्वांसो ह्यष्टौ ब्रह्मर्षयोऽमलाः

yakṣāḥ piśācāḥ sādhyāśca pitaro guhyakāstathā | tataḥ prasūtā vidvāṃso hyaṣṭau brahmarṣayo'malāḥ

Vinrent au jour les Yakṣas, les Piśācas, les Sādhyas, les Pitṛs, et aussi les Guhyakas. De ce même déploiement naquirent huit Brahmarṣis sans tache, sages voyants établis dans la connaissance pure.
