श्वापदाद्याश्च ये जीवाश्चतुराशीतियोनयः । उद्भिज्जाः स्वेदजाश्चैव जरायुजास्तथांडजाः

śvāpadādyāśca ye jīvāścaturāśītiyonayaḥ | udbhijjāḥ svedajāścaiva jarāyujāstathāṃḍajāḥ

«Et les êtres vivants, à commencer par les bêtes sauvages—(toutes) les quatre-vingt-quatre formes de naissance : ceux qui germent de la terre, ceux nés de la sueur, ceux nés du ventre, et ceux nés de l’œuf.»
