Type: kshetra
Listener: (addressed) son/putra
Scene: A pilgrim stands at the threshold of Dharmāraṇya offering reverence; behind him appear faint vignettes of many famous tīrthas (rivers, peaks, temples) converging as streams of light into the forest-kshetra, symbolizing ‘all-tīrtha merit’ gathered into one place.
A single supremely sanctified kṣetra can bestow the combined merit of many pilgrimages when approached with service and devotion.
Dharmāraṇya is explicitly glorified as equal in fruit to all tīrthas and kṣetras.
Sevanā—devotional visitation, attendance, and service of Dharmāraṇya—is recommended.
