Transliteration

aṣṭamyāṃ rāvaṇo māyāmaithilīṃ hatavānkudhīḥ | śokāvegāttadā rāmaścakre sainyāvadhāraṇam

Translation

Au huitième tithi, le funeste Rāvaṇa frappa à mort Māyā-Sītā, la Maithilī illusoire. Alors, poussé par l’élan du chagrin, Rāma ordonna et raffermit l’armée pour l’action.
