śrīrudra uvāca | sādhupṛṣṭaṃ mahābāho kāraṇaṃ tasya vacmyaham | hayagrīvasya kṛṣṇasya śṛṇuṣve kāgramānasaḥ
Śrī Rudra dit : Tu as bien interrogé, ô aux bras puissants.
Listener: Unnamed interlocutor addressed as mahābāhu
Scene: Rudra begins teaching: calm, authoritative, compassionate; the listener sits attentive. A subtle iconographic hint of Hayagrīva-Kṛṣṇa (horse-headed radiance or emblem) may appear as a visionary motif.
Sacred knowledge is received through focused listening (ekāgratā) and respectful inquiry.
No tīrtha is named in this verse; it introduces a theological explanation.
No external rite is prescribed; the inner discipline emphasized is attentive, concentrated hearing.
