तस्मादपींद्रसेनाख्यस्तस्य पुत्रो महाबलः । चंद्रांगदोस्मि नाम्नाहं नवोढः श्वशुरालये । विहरन्यमुनातोये निमग्नो देवचोदितः
tasmādapīṃdrasenākhyastasya putro mahābalaḥ | caṃdrāṃgadosmi nāmnāhaṃ navoḍhaḥ śvaśurālaye | viharanyamunātoye nimagno devacoditaḥ
« De lui naquit Indrasena, puissant par la force ; je suis son fils, nommé Candrāṅgada. Nouvellement marié et demeurant chez mon beau-père, tandis que je me divertissais dans les eaux de la Yamunā, je fus englouti, poussé par un décret divin. »
