Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 31
शिवपूजांतरायो मे जातोद्य बत पाप्मनः । पूजां विना क्षणमपि नाहं जीवितुमुत्सहे
śivapūjāṃtarāyo me jātodya bata pāpmanaḥ | pūjāṃ vinā kṣaṇamapi nāhaṃ jīvitumutsahe
«Hélas ! Par mon péché, un obstacle s’est levé aujourd’hui contre mon culte à Śiva. Sans accomplir la pūjā, je n’ai pas le cœur de vivre ne fût-ce qu’un instant».
