Type: river
Listener: A brāhmaṇa interlocutor within Revā-khaṇḍa frame
Scene: Personified Narmadā as a graceful goddess rising from the river, holding a water-pot and lotus, offering worship to a liṅga on the bank; in the sky, Brahmā begins re-creation as devas reappear faintly.
Cycles of creation return, but devotion to Liṅga-worship is upheld as a timeless path aligned with cosmic truth.
Revā/Narmadā tīrthas where Liṅga-arcana is central to the river’s sanctity.
Liṅga-arcana (worship of the Śiva-liṅga) is explicitly affirmed as Narmadā’s defining devotion.
