sādhu sādhu mahābhāga sattvavāṃstu bhujaṃgama | tvayā bhaktyā gṛhīto'haṃ prītaste hyurageśvara | varaṃ yācaya me kṣipraṃ yaste manasi vartate
«Bien, bien, ô serpent noble et ferme ! Par ta dévotion tu m’as gagné ; je suis comblé de joie envers toi, ô seigneur des nāgas. Demande-moi sans tarder la grâce qui demeure en ton cœur.»
Tripurāntaka (Śiva) (inferred from prior verse)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Maṇināga (urageśvara)
Scene: On the Narmadā bank, Īśvara addresses the radiant nāga-lord with approving gesture, granting a boon; the atmosphere is reverent, with river shimmer and subtle nāga iconography (hoods, jewels).
Bhakti and steadfast tapas attract Śiva’s grace, culminating in direct communion and boon-bestowal.
The setting remains the Revā/Narmadā region of the Revā Khaṇḍa, though this verse centers on Śiva’s encounter rather than a named tīrtha.
No formal ritual is prescribed; the emphasis is on devotion (bhakti) and the fruition of tapas in receiving a boon.
