ततो नदीः समुद्रांश्च संविभज्य पृथक्पृथक् । नर्मदामाह देवेशो गच्छ त्वं दक्षिणां दिशम्
tato nadīḥ samudrāṃśca saṃvibhajya pṛthakpṛthak | narmadāmāha deveśo gaccha tvaṃ dakṣiṇāṃ diśam
Puis, ayant réparti les rivières et les océans, chacun dans son domaine, le Seigneur des dieux dit à Narmadā : «Va vers la direction du sud».
