Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 28

श्राद्धदो निवसेत्तत्र यत्र देवो महेश्वरः । स्युरात्मघातिनो ये च गोब्राह्मणहनाश्च ये

śrāddhado nivasettatra yatra devo maheśvaraḥ | syurātmaghātino ye ca gobrāhmaṇahanāśca ye

Que l’officiant du śrāddha demeure là où réside le dieu Maheśvara. Là se trouvent aussi ceux qui se sont ôté la vie, et ceux qui ont tué des vaches et des brāhmaṇa, auteurs de fautes très lourdes.
