Type: kshetra
Scene: A map-like sacred vision: on one side the roaring western ocean with Soma-tīrtha; on the other the calm Narmadā at Candrahāsya; a single beam of moonlight links them, signifying equal fruit.
A local tīrtha may confer the same merit as distant pilgrimages, highlighting concentrated sanctity and accessible dharma.
Candrahāsya-tīrtha, compared favorably with Soma-tīrtha at the western ocean.
Pilgrimage-and-bathing merit is discussed; the verse asserts Candrahāsya grants the full equivalent fruit.
