युधिष्ठिर उवाच । अश्वमेधो महायज्ञो बहुसम्भारदक्षिणः । अशक्यः प्राकृतैः कर्तुं कथं तेषां फलं लभेत्

Transliteration

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | aśvamedho mahāyajño bahusambhāradakṣiṇaḥ | aśakyaḥ prākṛtaiḥ kartuṃ kathaṃ teṣāṃ phalaṃ labhet

Translation

Yudhiṣṭhira dit : «L’Aśvamedha est un grand yajña, exigeant d’immenses préparatifs et de larges dakṣiṇā pour les prêtres ; les gens ordinaires ne peuvent l’accomplir. Comment donc en obtiendraient-ils les fruits ?»
