Type: ghat
Scene: Pilgrims crest a path and behold the shining ford ‘Muktitīrtha’; the river glints like a ribbon of light; some fold hands in awe, suggesting ‘darśanād eva’ pāpa-kṣaya.
Sacred geography is spiritually potent—contact even through darśana can begin the dissolution of accumulated sin.
Muktitīrtha, declared anuttama (unsurpassed) among all tīrthas in this Revā Khaṇḍa passage.
The emphasis is on darśana (reverent visitation/seeing) as itself a purifier; it prepares one for further snāna and worship described nearby.
