Type: kshetra
Listener: dvija-sattamāḥ (addressed)
Scene: A solemn teaching scene: the sage warns brāhmaṇas that neglecting parva-śrāddha and dāna leads to naraka and outcaste-like condition; a symbolic split shows a śrāddha rite on one side and a dark infernal realm on the other.
Neglect of pitṛ-dharma (ancestral rites) and dāna is treated as a serious lapse with painful karmic outcomes.
No specific tīrtha is named; the verse is a dharma-warning within the Revā Khaṇḍa discourse.
Pitṛ-śrāddha on parvan (ritually significant) days and the practice of dāna (charity).
