श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महाराज द्वादशीतीर्थमुत्तमम् । क्षरन्ति सर्वदानानि जपहोमबलिक्रियाः

śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca | tato gacchenmahārāja dvādaśītīrthamuttamam | kṣaranti sarvadānāni japahomabalikriyāḥ

Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya dit : Alors, ô grand Roi, qu’on se rende au Tīrtha excellent de Dvādaśī. Ailleurs, le fruit de tous les dons, de la récitation des mantras, des offrandes au feu et des rites de bali s’amoindrit.
