स्कन्दसरः (Skandasara) — तीर्थवर्णनम् / Description of the Skandasara Sacred Lake
अतो गमिष्ये ऽहमवाप्तकामः समस्तमेवास्तु शिवं सदा नः । सूते कृताशिषि गते मुनयः सुवृत्ता यागे च पर्यवसिते महति प्रयोगे
ato gamiṣye 'hamavāptakāmaḥ samastamevāstu śivaṃ sadā naḥ | sūte kṛtāśiṣi gate munayaḥ suvṛttā yāge ca paryavasite mahati prayoge
«Ainsi, je m’en irai, mon dessein étant accompli. Que tout soit de bon augure—que la bénédiction de Śiva demeure toujours sur nous.» Lorsque Sūta, après avoir ainsi donné sa bénédiction, fut parti, et lorsque le grand sacrifice eut pris fin comme il se doit, les sages à la conduite irréprochable se dispersèrent à leur tour.

By praying “śivaṃ sadā naḥ,” the sages seek the continual presence of Śiva’s beneficence—typical of Saguna devotion where Śiva is approached as the bestower of anugraha (grace), the core fruit of worship including Liṅga-upāsanā.
The verse emphasizes proper completion (paryavasāna) of yajña and receiving blessings; as a takeaway, conclude worship with śānti and śiva-saṅkalpa—mentally dedicating the rite to Śiva and sustaining remembrance through japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”).
