Cosmic Event: Hiraṇyagarbha/aṇḍa-janma imagery (cosmic egg cosmology) evoked
It highlights how embodied beings (aṇḍaja—born within cosmic manifestation) move in ordered dependence, approaching higher governance (Brahmā) within the created realm—implying the Shaiva view that all cosmic functions proceed under divine ordinance, ultimately grounded in Pati (Śiva).
Though the verse is narrative and centered on Brahmā, it supports the broader Shaiva framework: Brahmā’s administrative role belongs to the manifest (saguṇa) cosmos, whereas Linga-worship points beyond cosmic hierarchy to Śiva as the supreme ground and inner ruler of all functions.
A practical takeaway is disciplined approach and reverence: approach the divine through proper inner “gatekeeping” (purity and restraint), supported by Shaiva sādhana such as japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and wearing vibhūti (tripuṇḍra) as a reminder of Śiva’s lordship over creation.
