on Śrīkaṇṭha-Śiva
शिवनिन्दारतं हत्वा पीडितः स्वयमेव वा । यस्त्यजेद्दुस्त्यजान्प्राणान्न स भूयः प्रजायते
śivanindārataṃ hatvā pīḍitaḥ svayameva vā | yastyajeddustyajānprāṇānna sa bhūyaḥ prajāyate
Qu’il tue celui qui se complaît à blasphémer Śiva, ou que, tourmenté, il abandonne lui-même le souffle vital si difficile à quitter, un tel homme ne renaît plus.

Sthala Purana: No Jyotirliṅga is named; the verse addresses extreme situations around Śiva-apacāra (reviling Śiva) and the karmic/eschatological consequence of actions tied to defending Śiva or dying under torment.
Significance: Not a pilgrimage verse; it asserts a strong salvific claim (‘no rebirth’) connected to death in a Śiva-centered moral crisis, reflecting purāṇic rhetoric about Śiva-bhakti’s overriding potency.

It teaches that protecting devotion to Śiva and refusing to participate in Śiva-nindā (blasphemy) is spiritually decisive; such alignment with Pati (Śiva) is said to cut the cause of repeated birth, leading toward liberation.
Śiva-nindā is treated as a grave offense against Saguna Śiva worship (including the Liṅga). The verse underscores that honoring Śiva’s manifest form and defending His sanctity preserves bhakti and removes obstacles to Śiva’s grace.
The practical takeaway is to avoid offenses (aparādha) and steady oneself in Śiva-bhakti—especially through japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), along with respectful conduct in temples and Liṅga-pūjā.
