Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It defines true spiritual experience as grace-born: divine vision (darśana) and divine savoring (āsvāda) arise spontaneously when the soul becomes receptive, indicating an inner maturation beyond mere effort.
In Linga worship, the devotee seeks Shiva’s presence through form (saguṇa upāsanā). This verse points to the fruition of such worship: darśana becomes ‘effortless’—not merely seeing a symbol, but inwardly recognizing Shiva’s living reality and tasting the sanctity (rasa) of that presence.
Sustained japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with steady dhyāna on the Linga cultivates inner purity; then, by Shiva’s grace, darśana and āsvāda arise naturally rather than being forced.
