It lists bodily and energetic signs that can accompany disciplined sādhanā—showing increased prāṇa control, steadiness, and vitality—supporting the seeker’s movement toward Shiva-realization (Pati) beyond bondage (pāśa).
In Shaiva practice, devotion to Saguna Shiva through Linga-worship is paired with inner purification; these qualities are presented as outward indicators that worship, mantra, and yogic restraint are refining the body-mind instrument used for dhyāna on Shiva.
Breath-discipline (prāṇāyāma) and steady japa—especially the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—are implied, as they cultivate lightness, endurance of breath, and mental vigor useful for sustained meditation.
