पञ्चावरणमार्गस्थं योगेश्वरस्तोत्रम्
Pañcāvaraṇa-mārga Stotra to Yogeśvara Śiva
पवित्रं परमं ब्रह्म प्रार्थितं मे प्रयच्छतु । अञ्जनादिप्रतीकाशमघोरं घोरविग्रहम्
pavitraṃ paramaṃ brahma prārthitaṃ me prayacchatu | añjanādipratīkāśamaghoraṃ ghoravigraham
Suta Goswami (narrating the hymn/prayer within the Vāyavīya discourse to the sages of Naimisharanya)

It identifies Shiva as the supremely pure Parabrahman who answers sincere prayer, showing that the Absolute can be both gentle (Aghora) in grace and fierce (Ghora) in removing ignorance, karma, and bondage.
It supports Saguna worship by affirming Shiva’s manifest forms (Aghora/Ghora) while simultaneously declaring Him as Parabrahman—so Linga worship becomes a bridge from form-based devotion to realization of the formless Supreme.
A direct practice is prayerful japa with Shiva-mantras (especially the Panchakshara, "Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), meditating on Aghora as the compassionate bestower of purity and on Ghora as the power that burns impurities—often supported by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrāksha as Shaiva disciplines.
