It highlights that spiritual attainments (like becoming a divine instrument or vehicle) arise from tapas offered to Śiva and Śakti, and that true fruit comes when their ājñā (divine command) is accepted as the highest guiding principle.
In Saguna worship, the devotee approaches Śiva (often through the Liṅga) as the personal Lord who responds to devotion; the verse emphasizes that boons are not merely demanded but are received through disciplined devotion and alignment with Śiva-Śakti’s will.
The takeaway is tapas joined with surrender—regular japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), Liṅga-pūjā with bhasma and rudrākṣa, and a vow-like obedience to dharma as understood to be Śiva’s command.
