Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Rudra
The verse lists Śiva’s weapons to show Saguna Śiva as the active Lord (Pati) who protects devotees and destroys ignorance, bondage, and adharma—supporting liberation through His grace.
While the Liṅga signifies Śiva’s transcendent reality, these weapons express His manifest, compassionate power in the world—assuring the devotee that the Liṅga is not inert but the living Lord who safeguards dharma.
Meditate on Śiva as the inner protector while japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya); optionally worship the Liṅga with bhasma and rudrākṣa, offering prayers for cutting the pasha (bondage) of karma.
