Vāsudeva, Aniruddha, Pradyumna, puis Saṅkarṣaṇa : tels sont proclamés les quatre déploiements (vyūhas) de Hari.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Significance: Didactic mapping of Vaiṣṇava vyūhas within a Śaiva Purāṇic frame; underscores that subordinate deities/functions operate under Śiva’s overarching niyati (order).
It identifies the four vyūhas of Hari, showing how the one Supreme is understood through functional manifestations. In a Shaiva Siddhanta reading within the Vayu Samhita’s philosophical tone, such enumerations clarify cosmic administration while pointing seekers toward the highest Pati (Shiva) as the ultimate bestower of liberation.
The verse discusses saguna manifestations (named forms) as aids for understanding divine functions. Likewise, Linga-worship is a Shaiva saguna support that leads the devotee from form-based contemplation toward realization of Shiva as transcendent (beyond all limited names and forms) while remaining graciously present through worship.
A practical takeaway is disciplined saguna-upāsanā: steady japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with mental focus on the Lord as the inner ruler of all divine functions, supported by Shaiva marks like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and rudrākṣa as reminders of commitment to Shiva-centered sādhanā.
